Sports Instant Replay
Maybe you need non-stop recording of six live HD sports cameras, and require two channels of slow motion instant replay—with dissolves and wipes between those two output channels. Or wait—you now need to record three “2X” super slow motion HD cameras with two output channels of super-smooth instant replay; then the following day, your next client wants to use “3X” super slow motion cameras instead? No problem. With Mira, you can record two of those 3X cameras, and still have two output channels with mix and wipe during live instant replay.
Animated Switcher Transitions
How about playback of animated switcher transitions with video, key and audio—along with a couple of animated backgrounds during a live television production? And you need to double all of that for a “dual-feed” into two separate production switchers? Mira can handle that, no sweat.
On-Set Plasma Feeds
Or perhaps you want to ingest video files of animations from your graphics department, and then loop-play multiple video channels to feed your on-set plasma screens—with gen-locked playback through your production switcher? What did you say? Some of the screens are mounted vertically, and you need to crop, resize and rotate some outputs? Now you’re talking. With Mira’s optional “Flipper” feature, you can do all that on a channel-by-channel basis.
Stereoscopic 3D
What’s that? Your clients now want to do all these projects in Stereoscopic 3D, and within the same budget!? No worries. A few clicks of a mouse will reconfigure Mira in less than fifteen seconds to accomplish all these tasks in stereoscopic 3D. And Mira works with either “dual-link” HD-SDI or “single-link” 3Gb/s HD-SDI—with up to 32 discrete tracks of embedded digital audio on each of those 3D video channels! Are you ready for blast-off?
