At NAB we will introduce Mira 5.0 – brand new software for both Mira Instant Replay and Mira Production. Crammed full of new features, the latest version of Mira software is available as a free update for all existing Mira Customers.

Together with a host of new software features, version 5.0 also adds optional hardware support to allow Mira to natively record AVC-Intra 100 encoded media. This new native recording format vastly improves image quality and significantly accelerates media file import and export operations.

Specifically for Mira Instant Replay servers, the GUI has received an update to deliver larger PGM output displays. In addition, the Quad Viewer monitoring feature has been updated to provide a handy playlist count-down timer display. This helps the TD to know when the playlist playout will conclude.

Support for an Auxiliary audio track allows a music bed or VO to be added to a playlist. In addition to the embedded audio feature, there is now support for AES audio via a DB 25 connector supporting Tascam Digital and AES59-2012 standards. Comprehensive internal audio routing makes it possible to associate any audio input or output with any or all of the video channels. This dramatically simplifies game-day audio configuration.

A host of other features have been added to Mira Instant Replay such as dual, simultaneous playlist playout on two program channels and playlist naming which all add up to expanding the creative functionality in live instant replay productions.
